Sutton recovering at vet's office
HANCOCK -- The Houghton County Prosecutor's office is still reviewing the case of the 100 pound malamute in Hancock that was found frozen to the ground on Monday.
According to responding officers with the Hancock Police Department, the dog, named Sutton, was outside all day and covered with a blanket of snow.
His body heat caused his skin to freeze to the ground. He is currently recovering at the Copper Country Veterinary Clinic.
Staff there say people have called all day, including one woman from Wisconsin, to check on Sutton. Others have offered to adopt the 100 pound malamute.
One woman dropped off treats and toys, saying she would pay for his food for three months to whoever adopts him.
