U.P. mushers in Beargrease

Both participated in half marathon

DULUTH, MN -- Two Upper Peninsula mushers are taking part in the 26th annual John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon in Minnesota.

The race began Sunday and goes for a grueling 400 miles.

The full distance race is still underway. However, the mid-distance race is complete. That race had two U.P. mushers participating, and they are Brian Tiura of Calumet and Robyn Smith of Bruce Crossing.

The winner of the mid-distance race is Dave Turner of Oregon.
