One class is keeping there eye on Obama

RAPID RIVER -- Although the Presidential Inauguration has come and gone, it remained a hot topic in high school classes across the nation Wednesday morning.

Mr. Rubick's Senior Government class at Rapid River High School discussed both yesterday's inauguration and what's to come in President Obama's administration.

Students said his personable demeanor will help him but they believe he's got a tough road ahead, to bring the country back on its feet.

"I'm hoping he can do most of what he promised, but I don't know, I've always been kind of a pessimist when it comes to that sort of thing.  I don't think everything can be accomplished in 8 years, but I'm hoping for it," said Senior, Joshua Person.

"Some of his policies I've listened to, I haven't got a chance to listen to them all, but we're about as low as you can get, so from here, it can just hopefully get better, added fellow Senior Jake Stenlund.

The class plans to closely keep tabs on President Obama throughout the first 100 days of his presidency.
