SAWYER -- In a down economy, it's good to get a little good economic news, and Sawyer has gotten some.

Ice-in-the-Bin LLC, a start-up company that makes commercial ice makers for motels, restaurants and convenience stores, is moving into Building 731 on the former Air Force base.

The company will use that space as a call center and as a base for its operations.

Marquette County Board Chairman Gerald Corkin says the company is getting a 50 percent rent abatement for the first six months.

Ice-in-the-Bin agreed to a three year contract for the building.
