The competition is between two pieces, the winner will be displayed in Ludington Park.
ESCANABA -- The City of Escanaba is looking for your help with a public art competition.
On Thursday night, the Escanaba City Council narrowed the submissions down to two.
It's between a red buck, which is made entirely from steel and metal or a silver rod piece.
The winner will grace the lawn of Ludington Park by next summer.
The Bonifas Art Center helped sponsor the event, to help put artwork by local artists on display in the community.
However, officials hope to continue the tradition of a public art competition over the next few years.
"In a couple years, we'll put one (statue) on Bay College's campus and in downtown Escanaba to spread public art, something that tweaks the imagination, and challenges the mind, throughout Delta County," said director Mollie Larsen of the Bonifas Art Center.
Escanaba city officials hope the public can come voice their opinion on the subject at their next city council meeting on February 5.
You can view the samples pieces at Escanaba City Hall.
