For those who work outside, there's no avoiding the arctic air.
MARQUETTE -- Arctic air over Upper Michigan is making it tough for people who have to work outside Monday.
It took a couple of tries for the Marquette Board of Light and Power to get their lift to work this morning. They were setting in new power poles in north Marquette today.
Nearby, Waste Management was braving the below zero wind chill readings, collecting Christmas trees on the curb.
"You know, common sense stuff, you layer yourself, you wear some good footwear, heavier socks and away you go," says Bruce Martin of Waste Management.
Jim Morgan of the BL&P adds, "Well if you keep moving, it's just like when you're cross country skiing or something like that. As long as you're moving and busy, you usually stay warm."
And both crews try to take breaks inside their vehicles to avoid longer exposure to the temperatures.
