The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning offering new classes in 2009
MARQUETTE -- A new year means the start up of new classes, hosted by the Northern Center for Lifelong Learning.
The NCLL held its winter kickoff Sunday to register new members and introduce winter programs.
Some of the highlights planned for the new year include classes in woodworking, geocaching, and a ski hike on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail.
While the activities are primarily for retirees, anyone in the community may attend.
"It really lets you learn about the community and meet friends and new people in the community," says Marge Forslin. "It's a great way to be active."
Typically classes cost $4 for members and $7 for non-members.
A number of free classes are also held each season.
