Township board approves hiring chief and officer.

FORSYTH TOWNSHIP -- The Forsyth Township Police Department will soon be back at full strength.

'The Township Board has approved hiring a police chief and another officer.  That would bring the department up to six full-time officers and allow them to resume 24-7 police coverage in the community.

The new officers are being funded by a millage proposal that was passed in August.

Forsyth Township Police Chief Brad Arnsparger resigned earlier this year after reaching a settlement with the township over a workers' compensation claim.
