A Wisconsin man is awaiting a court appearance, after allegedly kidnapping a woman in Ironwood last night.
IRONWOOD -- A Wisconsin man is awaiting a court appearance after allegedly kidnapping a woman in Ironwood last night.
According to Ironwood Public Safety, the victim was walking home around 5 p.m. Thursday when a man in a pick-up truck approached her and forced her into his vehicle.
She was able to escape and ran to a nearby business for help.
A short time later, Hurley, Wisconsin police found a vehicle matching the victim's description. It was located in the parking lot of a hotel.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident. He is charged with one count of felony kidnapping in Michigan.
Further charges in both Michigan and Wisconsin are possible.
The suspect is lodged in the Iron County jail.
