SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY -- The Post Commander for the Munising and Manistique State Police Posts remained hospitalized Thursday after a snowmobiling accident.

According to state police, 56-year-old Frank Henschell was injured Monday night in Schoolcraft County's Inwood Township.

Henschell was traveling with a group of sledders when he apparently missed a curve, went off the trail, and into the trees.

Speed and poor visibility are believed to be factors in the crash.

Henschell is listed in stable condition.
