Houghton Airport numbers down

Fewer people are flying from the airport this year.

CALUMET -- Fewer passengers are flying in an out of the Houghton County Airport this year.

Enplanements and deplanements were down 992 passengers between January and October.

That's a five percent decrease from the previous year.

So far, 21,418 people have come and gone on one of the three flights offered each day.
