Children's Museum is hosting an art fund-raiser Thursday.
MARQUETTE -- Prominent figures in Marquette were asked to get in touch with their creative side this week.
The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum is hosting their Fifth Annual Celebrity Art Auction on Thursday where local celebs, like attorneys, doctors, and professors, submit a work of art to be sold.
These artists were allowed to contribute whatever they'd like for the fund-raiser, and the museum says that was hard for some of them to do.
"Some of them just absolutely threw up their hands, and say, 'I can't do anything!' So it's kind of fun because they do end up coming up with things that are very creative," said Director of the U.P. Children's Museum, Nheena Weyer Ittner.
The auction begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday night, and all proceeds go to the Children's Museum.
