Gas prices still easing

UPPER PENINSULA (AP) -- AAA Michigan says gasoline prices have fallen three cents per gallon over the past week to a statewide average of $1.72.

Of the cities it surveys, AAA Michigan said Monday the cheapest price for self-serve regular unleaded fuel is in the Saginaw/Bay City area where it's $1.67 a gallon.

The highest average can be found in the Marquette area at $1.90.

The statewide average for biodiesel is $2.88 and $1.82 for ethanol.

The Dearborn-based auto club surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.
