DELTA COUNTY -- Tent City, operated by radio personalities at WYKX and WDBC in Delta County, wrapped up on Wednesday evening.

They estimated they had collected close to 10,000 pounds of food that will now be distributed to local food pantries.

Tent City was set up outside grocery stores in Escanaba and Gladstone for three days straight.

"We had over a thousand dollars donated and thousands of pounds of food, and it's been a great Canathon," said Allan Gibbs, the Operations Director for WYKX and WDBC.  "The people in Delta County step up; when the need is great, they're there for you."
