GOGEBIC COUNTY -- A merger between three Gogebic County ski resorts has been put on hold.

Indianhead had intended to acquire Big Powderhorn and Blackjack Mountain.  However, two people with the Big Powderhorn Lodging Association and an association homeowner, filed a lawsuit claiming that Big Powderhorn Mountain initially agreed to sell the ski facility to them.

The merger was supposed to be completed by the end of the year, but now all closing activities and discussions have been terminated.
