Marquette restaurant makes an unusual play for diners.

MARQUETTE -- The Waterfront Restaurant in Marquette has started an unusual promotion.  Some of its menu items are based on the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Here's how it works:  If the Dow Jones Industrial Average finishes Friday at 9400, then two lunch entrees, two dinner entrees, and a daily feature will be priced at $9.40 for the next week.  The price will change every Friday; the items selected for the discounted price will change daily.

"It's our way of contributing and helping stretch the dollar during this financial crisis," explains owner Mark Norris.  "We're all in it together and it's just kind of our part in keeping the dollars flowing in the economy."

The promotion will run until January 1.
