MARQUETTE -- It's a brand new year, and that means planning is already in the works for many future brides.
The most popular wedding months are July and August, and a bridal show at Northern Michigan University offered everything from wedding cakes to a runway show.
A total of 30 vendors gave the brides to be the opportunity to check off multiple items on their wedding planner list.
"This year is over the top. We have more brides this year, our vendors are pulling out all the stops, and one of the best things about the fashion show is that they're refined; they're a little bit shorter, but you have more choices and more dresses to look at," said Caitlin Ryan, spokesperson for Dan's Bridal.
The event wasn't just for brides, suits were on display for groomsmen as well as bridesmaid's dresses.
Dan's Bridal and Tuxedo has been the main sponsor of the event for the past 26 years.
