The Houghton police are asking for help in searching for a man stealing money out of vending machines.

Police say Friday, December 14, around 10 p.m. a man opened the Pepsi machine in Econo Foods with a key.

Video evidence shows the man left the store after he unlocked the machine and returned around midnight to steal money out of the machine.

Michigan Tech Public Safety also said one of the vending machines in the Memorial Union Building was looted the same day. They are still reviewing photographic evidence to determine if it is the same person.

"The suspect was driving a dark-colored SUV, believed to be a GMC. We don't have any further information other than that,” said Lieutenant Nick Roberts.

If you have any information about the man in this video, please call the Houghton police at (906) 482-2121.
