Production truck runs over pickup truck
PALMER -- Update 9 p.m.
A spokesperson for Cliffs says the accident happened on a haul road between the Empire main pit and the Tilden pit around 6:30 Tuesday night.
The driver of the pickup involved has been transported to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. His condition is not being released at this time.
The Ishpeming Township Fire Department and Marquette County Rescue 131 were on the scene.
Cliffs says the accident happened when the drivers in each vehicle failed to see each other. The names of those involved are not being released at this time. The incident remains under investigation.

There's been a vehicle accident at the Cliffs Empire Mine.
A Cliffs Natural Resources spokesperson says a huge production truck has run over a regular-sized pickup truck in the Empire Mine pit. Apparently the driver of the pickup is trapped. It's unknown the extent of injuries.
No names have been released at this time.
The accident happened around 6:15 Tuesday night.
Michigan State Police and Marquette County Rescue 131 are on scene. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
