GLADSTONE -- An early morning crash landed a Gladstone resident in jail.

Gladstone Public Safety says it happened about 1 a.m. Monday morning when a 27-year-old driver was on M-35 and his vehicle left the road, entering the parking lot of Gibby's Bar in Gladstone.

The man's vehicle then collided with a parked car, smashed through a storage shed and stopped in the bathrooms of the establishment.

The unidentified man was treated at the scene, then taken to the Delta County Jail where he was lodged for OWI.

None of the 10 patrons in the bar were injured. The Gladstone Public Safety Department was assisted at the scene by troopers from the Michigan State Police and Rampart EMS.
