MARQUETTE -- TV6 has done it again, we've been awarded Station of the Year for 2012 by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.

The Broadcast Excellence Awards are based on entries submitted by a station and how those entries place. TV6 was awarded seven first place honors.

The awards were for the TV6 Early News, reporter Gabrielle Mays, news special Be The Change, news series Bath Salts, promotions for the 2012 election, best commercial for Bay Area Medical and also new media, which includes our social presence with our website, Facebook and Twitter.

"We strive to serve our community in the highest capacity we can," said WLUC President and CEO Rob Jamros. "We are humbled by these honors and thank all those who helped make it possible."
