MARQUETTE -- Downtown Marquette has plenty of parking according to a study recently completed by the Downtown Development Authority.

The study collected data from surveys and brought in a consultant from Nelson-Nygaard.

According to the DDA, Marquette's parking is broken down into two separate areas:  downtown and Third Street. They also said changes to parking could be coming, but it'll take time.

"It's going to be a longer term fix; it's not going to be anything that will happen overnight. There's a lot of working parts to this," said Mona Lang of the DDA. "We'll be working to put an implementation plan together, I would say in the next several months."

The full results of the parking study are available on the Downtown Development Authorities website.
