OSIER -- A 76 year old man died in a fire early Monday morning in Delta County. The Delta County Sheriff Department said the death was accidental.

Authorities identified the man as Jack Patten of Osier. Patten was the owner of the mobile home that burned.

The Tri-Township Fire Department from Rock was dispatched at 4:15 a.m. Monday to a house fire on Osier 40th Road. When the department arrived, they found that the mobile home had already been consumed by fire during the night and was still burning.

Sheriff Deputies, Detective Sgt. and the State Police Fire Marshall investigated the scene. Investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
