MARQUETTE -- For the past seven years, Alley Kat's Quilt Shop has provided crafters and quilters with materials and ideas. They don't just sell quilting items, they host workshops that teach new techniques. Owner Kathryn Norton uses her skills as a teacher to help her customers.

"What makes Alley Kat's special is our customer service and the education," said Norton. "I'm all about educating my customers how to use my products, how to use them in a creative and different way. We have a lot of U.P. talent up here."

They have a number of workshops through the year. They also hold shows displaying some of the customers' work. For more information on Alley Kat's, click here for a link to their Facebook page.
