MARQUETTE -- The Superior Alliance for Independent Living held their second annual open skate at the Lakeview Arena in Marquette. A few people decided to come out and enjoy it.

The event gives people with disabilities the opportunity to skate even if they have never done it before.

Gliding Stars provided all the equipment for everyone to skate. They custom made all of the gear.

"It's nice. I can go at my own speed and interact with others. I see the youngest people starting to also get better themselves through the program," said Dale Kolpack, participant.

Skating was open from 5 to 6 p.m.
