MARQUETTE -- Students at Northern Michigan University had a chance to line up some employment as part of the summer job fair.

Employers from a wide range of fields set up informational booths and made connections with students and alumni. Michigan State Police, various camps and Six Flags Great America were just some of the employers on hand.

According to representatives from Six Flags, NMU students make a great fit for their company.

"Just the strength behind the students, it's a reputable school and you know that the students you're talking to are having a great educational basis and that you're getting a great candidate whether it's from the C.J. program or environmental studies, you're getting a great candidate," said Bethany Painter from Six Flags human resources.

The summer job fair went from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. NMU Career Services is also hosting a collegiate job fair in late March at the University Center.
