The Next Generation Quartet will serenade your sweetheart
ESCANABA -- If you're looking for a gift that comes from the heart, but is also very unique, consider sending a singing valentine. It’s courtesy of The Next Generation Quartet.
Thursday at Sears in Escanaba, they rehearsed for their big day, one week from now.
Eight-year-old Ava Boucher was their muse.
The Escanaba and Gladstone members have been singing together for 20 years. They all take time off from work on Valentine's Day to serenade women, who make up about 80 percent of serenades that day.
But about 20 percent of their clients on that day are men whose ladies have requested that they be serenaded.
“We've found over the years, with the ability to perform and sing, that music touches so many people's hearts in many ways,” explains quartet member, Jeff Kobasic.
The cost of sending a singing valentine is $35.
The singers will serenade your loved one at work, home, a restaurant, or a romantic place.
