ESCANABA -- Now's the time to call in your big brat orders of ten or more as the Community Action Agency is holding its big brat sale in Escanaba this Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Officials are asking for large orders to be called in by noon on Thursday. You can make your orders by calling (906) 786-7080. It'll help them pre-package larger orders and avoid too much congestion in front of Ludington Post Suites, where the sale will take place.

Officials are hoping to sell around 1,500 brats, and they expect to raise $2,000 to $3,000 from the sales.

"Every dollar that is donated is used directly for service for people who are having trouble with their fuel bills," said CAA Executive Director Bill Dubord. "The locally-raised money compliments what we get from the state and federal government."

The sale is a kickoff for the Walk for Warmth which will be held February 23. Proceeds will help people who are having trouble paying for home-heating bills.
