ISHPEMING -- Buttons are now on sale for the 126th annual Ski Jumping Tournament at the Suicide Hill ski bowl in Ishpeming.

The tournament is set for February 6, and this year more than 20 jumpers from across the world will be participating. In addition to the competition, a bonfire and fireworks are all part of the tournament.

"It's kind of a community party. We get people that have been coming out for 50, 60 years," said tournament chairman Bob Hendrickson. "The tournament goes back to 1887, and it's just basically a good winter party that you can come out, enjoy the time, have some fun with people you know, and watch these jumpers come off the scaffolding."

The buttons are $15 for adults, $10 for students and children 12 and under are free. You can pick them up from a number of locations including Range Banks in the central Upper Peninsula.

This is the largest fundraiser for the Ishpeming Ski Club for the year.
