ADAMS TOWNSHIP -- Three snowmobilers were involved in a crash Saturday afternoon in Adam's Township. It happened around 12 p.m. on a pole line near Trail 3.
The Houghton County Sheriff's Office said two snowmobilers were parked on top of a ridge. When a third snowmobiler approached, the machine malfunctioned leaving the driver unable to stop. The third snowmobile struck the other two snowmobilers that were parked.
The two drivers that were hit sought their own treatment at Portage Health Hospital.
According to officials, alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
