DELTA COUNTY -- It was a frightening time in Delta County on Saturday night after several people fell through the ice.

Police were called just after 7 p.m. to the mouth of the Days River. Two men and one boy were riding their ATVs and were coming off of the ice, when they broke through.

The Gladstone Public Safety hovercraft was dispatched to help retrieve them from the water.

One of the men and the boy were treated at the scene.

The Delta County Sheriff's Department is reminding residents to use extreme care as the ice conditions are still very poor.

"We've been getting rain," said Lt. Phil Griebel of the Delta County Sheriff's Department. "We've been getting cold and a little bit of snow, not much snow. It's not really good to be out on there right now. Especially when you don't know where you are or what you're doing. It's really treacherous out there right now."
