MERRIMAN -- Crowds of hunters and gun collectors flooded Merriman Saturday for a gun and knife show.

The United Sportsmen's Club members report that this has been one of the best years ever for attendance. More than 700 people came from all over to find what they needed at the two-day show.

With about 65 tables full of guns, knives, ammunition and everything in between, it wasn't difficult. There was something for hunters and collectors alike.

Frank Tehako is a gun dealer out of Iron Mountain, and as of Saturday afternoon, he sold 16 pistols and two rifles over the weekend. He's been traveling to gun shows for about 25 years and says it doesn't get any better than this weekend.

"My sales have been fantastic. This has been one of the best shows I've ever had in my life, and I think our government is helping me," said Tehako.

Many other vendors also reported great sales at this show.
