KINGSFORD -- The Golden K Kiwanis Club in Kingsford enjoyed a sneak peek performance of an upcoming community theatre musical.

The 1950's musical "Li’l Abner" is set to open curtains this Friday in the historic Braumart Theatre in Iron Mountain. The cast performed a scene from the musical in front of the members of the club on Monday.

Director and actor Fred Jump believes Dickinson County is excited to see the performance in this area.

"Every time we do a production like this, we end up with a thousand or more people that come to see us," says Jump. "In between, you get a lot of people saying constantly, ‘When are you doing the next one?’"

Residents will have two weeks to catch the comical musical starting this Friday.

Show dates:

Friday, January 11 at 7 p.m.

Saturday, January 12 at 7 p.m.

Sunday, January 13 at 2 p.m.

The same show times follow for Friday, January 18 through Sunday, January 20.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children.
