Dashing through the snow

ISHPEMING -- It's looking a lot like Christmas at the Heritage Hills Horseback Riding Center where their annual sleigh rides were taking place on Sunday.

Heritage Hills is in Ishpeming and offers half hour and hour long sleigh rides through a snow covered wonderland. They generally host 50 to 60 people a day on weekends leading up to Christmas.

Bill Richards supplies the horses and sleigh for up to eight people at a time.

The peace and quiet is a throw back to those days of over the hills and through the woods to grandmother's house we go. That makes this ride a great time for everyone.

Danny Fowler was one of those taking a sleigh ride and he says, "It was great, my first time on a sleigh I think. It was a beautiful day for it. We got some snow, not too much, not too much wind, just a lot of fun."
