ESCANABA -- Santa made an early stop this Christmas at Super One in Escanaba.  His mission was to help raise money for the Salvation Army Red Kettle.

Santa says many people have been very generous with donations.  This is the jolly ol' elf's third year of ringing the bell at Super One.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, he spread holiday cheer and visited with his friends who stopped by to see him.

"I just got the cape made this year.  People love the cape.  They say it's very festive. And they just love the spirit of Christmas coming out," said Santa aka Anthony Strandberg.

Santa will also make an appearance and ring the bell on Christmas Eve.
