ONTONAGON -- A Ewen man appeared in Ontonagon County District Court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.

Wayne Emory Kilpatrick was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence in November when he allegedly threatened his wife with a loaded handgun.

The court met to discuss the limit of his bond, which was originally set at $100,000 for the assault charge.

Bond was reset at $100 cash after it was made known Kilpatrick does not have the funds to post bond.
