The Keweenaw Community Foundation in Hancock was given a check Tuesday for their Youth Hockey Fund.

The KCF was given a total of $5000 from the Keweenaw Health Foundation and the Portage Health Foundation. The money will be equally split between the Copper Country Junior Hockey Association and the CLK Youth Hockey Fund. The money will be used for facility upkeep as well as helping children with program fees.

“We thought that the proceeds from this event would really help provide some stability and resources for both hockey endowments,” said Kevin Store, Executive Director of Portage Health Foundation.

The Keweenaw Community Foundation is a non-profit community corporation. The foundation says it is very grateful for any donation they receive.
