MARQUETTE -- The Northern Michigan University soccer team and cross country teams are joining forces for a fundraiser.

The two groups are selling NMU Wildcat scarves. The money they raise during the sale will go to help the teams with travel expenses as well as equipment costs.

With Christmas coming up, organizers say these might make a good gift for the Wildcat in your life.

"Definitely make a great Christmas gift and just a great gift for the winter weather here in Marquette and support Northern Michigan University athletics--the cross country running team and the soccer team. Great sports here at Northern Michigan and hardworking student athletes," said cross country coach Jenn Ryan.

The scarves will be on sale until supplies run out. You can stop into the Superior Dome in Marquette and head to the Cat's Corner gift shop. The cost of a scarf is $20.
