It runs until December 14

The Escanaba Public Library is the drop-off point for the Escanaba City Hall's food drive, and it started December 1. The drop-off box just has a few items in it, but the library director says she's confident it will be filled. The food drive is accepting non-perishable food items that aren't expired. The drive is primarily employee driven, but the community is still invited to help out here and at other locations.

“There is a drop-off point in City Hall as well as the other city buildings in town, like Public Works, the Electric Department, and Water/Wastewater,” says library director, Carolyn Stacey. “And we see 400 to 500 people a day here at the library. It’s a great chance for people to really chip in and bring some food down when they stop in.”

The food drive will end on December 14 when the food will be given to the Salvation Army.
