NMU student drowns in PEIF pool

MARQUETTE -- NMU officials say a student drowned in the PEIF swimming pool Friday evening.  It happened just before 6:00 p.m.

Officials confirm it was a female student, but her name has not been released.  The cause of the drowning is under investigation.

No further details are available at this time, pending notification of family members.
