Iron County Museum fundraiser with Christmas trees
CASPIAN -- It's looking a lot like Christmas in Iron County. The Iron County Museum and Historical Society in Caspian saw a large crowd for their final day of the 23rd annual Christmas Tree Galleria.
Forty-five trees were decorated by individuals, businesses and groups for everyone's enjoyment.
Sunday was also the 8th Annual Gift Basket Raffle. Thirty-nine themed baskets were raffled off.
The Christmas Tree Galleria is a fundraiser for the Iron County Museum, bringing in $6,000 on average. A lot of work goes into this event, and it's a success thanks to the numerous volunteers.
When this event started, it was held in November for a special reason.
Museum volunteer Audrey Ridolphi says, "Oh yes, they plan for it, especially if the hunters widows' men are all out at camp. Anything like that, they can come down here and visit with us."
This is the 50th year for the museum and the historical society. The Winter Wonderland-themed trees were not for sale. Those who put them up, must take them down.
