MARQUETTE -- The Ishpeming man involved in a drunk driving accident on Monday in Negaunee appeared in Marquette District Court Wednesday morning. 31-year-old Patrick Hill pled guilty to operating while intoxicated, second offense.

On Monday, police were alerted when a red pickup truck was seen driving erratically on US-41, heading into Negaunee. Before police caught up with him, Hill turned into the path of an oncoming car near Baldwin Street.

Hill had to be treated at the scene for a head injury. The other driver was not hurt. Court records show that Hill's blood alcohol content at the time of the crash was 0.35, more than four times the legal limit.

As part of his plea agreement, Hill will be entered immediately into the 96th District Court's Sobriety Court program. He could still face jail time. Hill will be sentenced on November 28.
