MARQUETTE -- An annual ceremony honoring veterans was held Sunday in Marquette.

The Jacobetti Home for Veterans is packed every year with veterans for this ceremony.  Northern Michigan University's ROTC presented the colors for the event.

Throughout the ceremony, guests thanked the veterans and spoke on what Veterans Day means to them, Included in the speakers was NMU President David Haynes, who's also a veteran.

New this year, the Jacobetti Home unveiled a stained glass window honoring the Marine Corps.  More than 100 veterans were on hand for the ceremony this year.

"Anybody who has served, whether it was in war time or peace time, has done their part to keep our country free and what it is today, and this is our way of showing some appreciation for that," said Jacobetti Home for Veterans Volunteer Coordinator, Ken Arseneau.
