IRON MOUNTAIN -- Newly elected Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards took a day off to recuperate before heading back into work Thursday.
The next few months Richards will shadow Stephanie Brule to learn all of the offices administrative work. She says once she gets sworn in the first thing on her to do list is to find a new person to fill her old position as assistant prosecutor.
I get to continue to do what I absolutely love to do and I'm very thankful to the voters for giving me this opportunity and I'm going to continue to work hard just as much as I have for the past 11 years," said Richards.
She says its been a long and stressful campaign but all worth it. Richards will be officially sworn in as the Dickinson County Prosecutor this January.
