Cheryl Hill will be the new Marquette County Probate Judge

Hill defeated George Hyde by over 5,000 votes

MARQUETTE COUNTY -- Cheryl Hill is the new Marquette County Probate Judge. The final tally from Tuesday's election: Cheryl Hill 16,330 - George Hyde 11,268. Hill will hold the position for a six year term.

After the August primary, the candidates were narrowed down to Cheryl Hill and George Hyde.

Former judge, the Honorable Michael J. Anderegg, is retiring on December 31 after 35 years on the job.
