MARQUETTE -- The Marquette County Quilting Association held its annual quilt sale Saturday at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.

There were more than 400 items for saleall of them handmade. There were quilts of all sizes and designs, but also bags, purses, and other knitted items.

About ten quilters were selling their materials including Rosemary Glennthe quilt sale organizer.

Dozens of visitors made their way to the sale throughout the day.

People are enthusiastic about what they're looking at, and the quality is here, so we are very proud of what we're selling, so people are buying," said Judy Parlato from the Marquette Quilting Association.

The quilting association was also selling raffle tickets for a large quilt that will be raffled off at the next quilt sale November 18.
