NIAGARA, WI -- Students at Niagara, Wisconsin High School competed against each other in an effort to help the community.  The "Fill the Bus" contest was to see which class could fill it with the most food for the St. Anthony's Catholic Church food pantry.

The 500 students in the Niagara Schools began the contest in September and were successful in collecting food.

"What we did was we tried to fill the bus behind me with food items for the food pantry. It was very successful.  We have collected over 3,000 items," said Trisha Peterson of the Niagara Area Business Association.

The contest was started by the Niagara Area Business Association in an effort to give back to the community.

The class that collected the most food will win a free pizza party.
