SANDS TOWNSHIP -- Teaching Family Homes is adding another building, and they held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday.

To enhance their "Expanding Experiences Program," they're building a vocational technical building.  The new building will be designed to teach kids more hands on skills, such as auto repair, landscaping, and carpentry.

The project has been in the works for a year and is scheduled to be completed by this spring.

"It gives our youth an opportunity to really learn a job skill so that when they graduate from our campus, they're able to go out into the world, have a skill that they can actually apply, make a living, and continue with their life," said Teaching Family Homes Fund Development Manager, Rich Rossway.

Teaching Family Homes is also planning on building an outdoor science lab and a trail system.
