Stolen vehicle crashes into police station

GLADSTONE -- A 33-year-old Gladstone man who crashed a stolen vehicle into the Gladstone Public Safety Department in early August appeared in Delta County Circuit Court on Thursday.

Robert John Anderson is charged with the following: destruction of property, stealing a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, assault of a public safety officer, and driving under the influence of drugs. In court on Thursday, Judge Stephen Davis did the preliminary evaluation of sentence length and said it will be a non-prison sentence.

Anderson's attorney has to say how he'll plea by September 28. Anderson will be back in circuit court on October 3.
