MARQUETTE -- The Marquette Redmen Booster Club is calling in some help from the community for its fundraiser called the Cash Bash. This year they'll hold the event at the Marquette Regional History Center.

The Cash Bash will feature a live auction with prizes donated from local businesses, as well as a raffle and other prizes. All of the money will go to support Marquette High School athletics.

"We're looking for this to be not only a fundraiser for athletics but also to be kind of a community building thing," said MSHS Athletic Coordinator Jamie Tuma. "We're inviting alumni to be part of it, we're inviting parents that have kids in the program, teachers in the district. We're hoping that it's something that brings people together for camaraderie and also fundraising for athletics."

The Cash Bash is Saturday, October 6 from 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $20. There will also be a cash bar featuring local beers and wines.
